Flower Care
Proper care will help extend the life and appearance of your flowers. Please follow the guidelines below after receiving your arrangement.
How to Care for Your Flowers
- Remove all outer packaging carefully.
- Place flowers in a cool area, away from direct sunlight, heat, or drafts.
- Keep flowers away from fruits, as ripening fruit releases ethylene gas that can shorten vase life.
If Your Flowers Arrive in Floral Foam
- Add fresh water daily directly into the foam to keep it fully saturated.
- Do not remove flowers from the foam.
- Keep the arrangement in a cool location, away from heat and direct sunlight.
If Your Flowers Arrive in a Vase
- Check the water level daily and refill as needed with clean, room-temperature water.
- Replace the water every 1–2 days.
- Remove any foliage that falls below the water line to prevent bacteria growth.
If Your Flowers Arrive as a Bouquet
- Unwrap the bouquet completely.
- Trim stems at an angle before placing them in a clean vase with fresh water.
- Change the water every 1–2 days and re-trim stems as needed.
Orchid Plants
- Water sparingly and allow excess water to drain fully.
- Avoid overwatering, as orchids do not tolerate standing water.
- Place orchids in bright, indirect light.
If Your Flowers Wilt
- Wilting can occur due to dehydration or heat exposure.
- Re-cut stems and place flowers in fresh water.
- Move the arrangement to a cooler location and avoid direct sunlight.
A Note on Flower Longevity
Flowers are natural and seasonal products. Vase life varies depending on flower type, environment, and care.
With proper care, most arrangements will last at least 3 days, and often longer.
Floral Thoughts
Variations in bloom size, shape, and opening stage are natural.
Flowers may continue to open after delivery, while others may reach peak bloom sooner.
